The Gardens' site preparatory work had commenced with the closure of the Marina City Park on 1 Jun 2007. The construction of the Gardens is progressing on track with key infrastructure works such as the drainage system and the main access roads and services completed. Sub-structure works at the Cool Dry Conservatory and Supertrees, construction of the Supertrees' core, facade of the Cool Dry Conservatory, as well as other support facilities are underway. Phase 1 of the Gardens is scheduled to be completed for public preview in November 2011.
